A rebate percentage means nothing without its base. A turnover rebate pays a percentage of eligible bets, win or lose; cashback usually pays a percentage of net losses and nothing in a winning period. The name does not settle it: Eclbet's promotions FAQ lists “daily cashback bonuses”, yet its Daily Cash Rebate is a percentage of each day's real bets.

Compare the ringgit amount, not just the percentage
Suppose a week has RM2,000 of eligible turnover and RM80 of qualifying net loss. An uncapped 0.5% turnover rebate pays RM10. A 10% net-loss cashback pays RM8. These are calculations for that specific result, not equivalent offers.

Assumptions: all turnover qualifies; cashback covers that week's net loss only; neither payment has a cap, minimum, wagering condition or other deduction.
A rough conversion helps: when your loss equals the expected loss, a rebate pays the same as a cashback rate of rebate % ÷ house edge. On a 4% game, 0.5% matches 12.5% cashback; on baccarat Banker (1.06%), 0.5% matches about 47%. It is not an exact equivalence, because cashback pays nothing in a winning week, and real cashback offers add minimum losses and caps: the weekly offers below start at MYR 5,000 or MYR 10,000 of net loss.
When a rebate reduces the house edge
If a cash rebate is paid on every stake, uncapped and withdrawable without extra wagering, subtract its rate from the game's edge to get the combined expected cost. The rebate does not change the game's own RTP.

The lower the edge, the larger the share a rebate returns, and the published exclusions fall on low-risk play: BK8, Surewin and GOD55 exclude tied, void and opposite-side bets, and Eclbet excludes blackjack, 3 Picture and poker. BK8 also counts only live roulette, and for some roulette providers uses the smaller of the bet and the win or loss. These are operator statements, not proof of payment.
Four conditions that change the payment
1. Wagering on the reward
Bonus credit is not withdrawable cash. Hypothetical example: RM188 at 6× wagering requires RM1,128 of qualifying turnover; at a constant 4% edge, the expected loss on that completed turnover is RM45.12, leaving RM142.88 in the model but no guaranteed cashout. The weekly cashback offers below carry 10× within seven days. Our rollover guide explains the checks.
2. Eligible turnover
Calculate using bets the offer accepts, not everything in your history. GOD55 deducts bets already counted towards a deposit bonus, and Eclbet's own formula subtracts excluded games from the day's real bets before applying the rate.
3. Caps
BK8's 5% weekly rescue for a Normal-tier member is capped at MYR 888, which it reaches at MYR 17,760 of net loss (888 ÷ 0.05). At MYR 30,000 the same MYR 888 is 2.96%. GOD55's Normal-tier cap is RM 228, so at RM 10,000 its 5% pays 2.28%.
4. Losing the rebate by claiming a bonus
Surewin pays no rebate while a bonus is claimed, and GOD55's welcome offers withhold daily rebates (its 255% offer until the turnover is met). Claiming Surewin's 298% welcome on MYR 100 means MYR 13,134 of turnover without rebate: at its Bronze slot rate of 0.50%, that is MYR 65.67 forgone. This prices the rebate given up, not the bonus received; our bonus comparison covers the rest.

The ranked casinos' weekly cashback, which they call rescue or recovery bonuses, uses net loss. BK8 and GOD55 define it as gross loss minus bonus minus rebate.

An offer that pays only after thousands of ringgit of losses, or only once your balance is almost empty, is not a reason to keep playing. Stop when planned; do not lose more to qualify. Our responsible gambling page lists support.
A four-step offer check
- Identify the base and period. Turnover, net loss or cash movement? Daily and weekly settlement can produce different payments.
- Calculate several outcomes. Include a winning period, a small loss and a larger loss. Apply the actual formula.
- Apply exclusions, minimums and caps. Then check whether another bonus removes eligibility.
- Check how the reward becomes cash. Record wagering, winover, expiry and cashout limits. Missing terms remain unknown.
A reward does not justify extra gambling. For example, 1% of RM104,000 turnover is RM1,040, while a 4% game edge gives RM4,160 expected loss before that reward. Even under the unrestricted rebate assumptions, combined expected loss is RM3,120.

Usually excluded bets: depending on the casino, 918Kiss and Mega888, certain table games, ties, voids and opposite-side bets do not count. A lower VIP tier, a minimum payout or a bonus claimed in the same period can also cut it.
Not in any offer we read. Live-casino rebates of 0.2–0.8% are below baccarat Banker's 1.06% edge, slot rebates of up to 1.2% are far below the 4% edge of a 96% RTP slot, and BK8, GOD55 and Surewin exclude opposite-side bets.
Price both in ringgit: the rebate you would forgo on the bonus's turnover, against the bonus's wagering, caps and withdrawal rules. Do not add bets to make either look worthwhile.
