Spadegaming in Malaysia
The MGA record is confirmed
Spadegaming makes slots and fishing games, from Cai Shen 888 to Fishing God. The Malta Gaming Authority lists S.P.G Malta LTD as Licensed, with Spadegaming’s official domain. That supplier licence is not a guarantee for any casino.
Spadegaming: what we verified
Spadegaming’s Malta licence can be verified. On 7 October 2026 the regulator listed S.P.G Malta LTD (licence MGA/B2B/482/2018, domain www.spadegaming.com) as Licensed.
It is a supplier licence: it does not verify any Malaysian-facing casino showing Spadegaming’s logo. We did not authenticate any casino’s game feed, app or payouts.
Many sources linked here are Spadegaming’s own pages. On 9 October 2026 they did not open from one Malaysian internet connection, so readers in Malaysia may not reach them.
Researched with AI tools, checked against the sources linked on this page and approved by our editor before publishing. How we work.
History of Spadegaming
Spadegaming (some lobbies write Spade Gaming) dates its founding to 2007 in its November 2018 news, a July 2024 interview and its LinkedIn profile.
Its About page dates its focus on smartphone and tablet games to 2013, by its own description.
Its website footer gives December 2018 as the Malta licence’s issue date and names S.P.G. Malta Limited as website operator. The supplier announced the licence in February 2019.
Example titles
Four games that show the range of formats: examples, not a popularity ranking. Card facts come from each game’s own Spadegaming page; we do not claim first-hand play.
Heroes
Five-reel slot with 50 paylines. Collecting 25 stacked Hero symbols unlocks a feature game. Each of the four heroes (King Arthur, Iron Khan, Princess Yue and Master Jiang) has its own feature; Princess Yue’s turns a reel wild. Supplier game page.
Cai Shen 888
God of Wealth slot with 1,024 ways to win. Features: free games, stacked symbols and a wild with a win multiplier. Supplier game page.
Gold Panther
Six-reel slot with 4,096 ways to win. Three or more scatters trigger free games (six award 100 free spins), where wilds multiply wins by x2, x3 or x5 at random. Supplier game page.
Fishing God
Multiplayer fishing game. More than 25 kinds of fish, three gameplay levels, a free-game mode with a rapid-fire cannon and random high-multiplier prizes. Check the cost of each shot and the prize rules. Supplier game page.
Why these cards show no RTP. Spadegaming’s game pages show “Rtp: N/A” and “Line: N/A” for every title, even where the game’s data file holds a return figure. A casino’s version can also be set differently: check the RTP, stake range and payout limits in the help screen of the game you load.
Read a named game, not a supplier average
Each title has its own rules. Eight more from Spadegaming’s game list, as its game pages describe them (read 9 October 2026):
| Game | Format | Released | Features the supplier lists |
|---|---|---|---|
| FaFaFa | Slot, 3 reels, 1 line | 30 Jan 2016 | No extra game modes or symbols |
| FaFaFa 2 | Slot, 1 line | 15 Jan 2018 | Random mystery wild with up to x3 multiplier |
| Golden Monkey | Slot | 30 Oct 2017 | Stacked wilds on reels 2 to 4; 10 free games with wins tripled |
| Mayan Gems | Slot, 3 reels, 5 lines | 9 May 2022 | Bonus multiplier reel; stacked wilds |
| Tiger Warrior | Slot, 243 ways | 31 May 2017 | Respin feature; tiger symbols transform in free games |
| Brothers Kingdom | Slot, 5 reels, 20 lines | 26 Nov 2018 | Cascading tiles; free spins can re-trigger up to 300 |
| Legacy of Kong | Slot, 6-reel Maxways, up to 200,704 ways | 15 May 2023 | Cascades; bonus multipliers build in free games |
| Alien Hunter | Fishing game | 15 Aug 2022 | 3 difficulty levels; 3 bosses; buy feature |
Why there is no supplier-wide RTP here
Some sites quote one “97.1%” RTP for the whole Spadegaming catalogue. That is a third-party aggregate of whichever titles a database lists; we verified no supplier-wide figure and adopt no third-party one. Line counts and volatility labels do not reveal the RTP either: see our RTP, house edge and volatility guide.
Even a game’s own RTP is a long-run average. In a hypothetical 97% RTP game, RM100 of total bets returns about RM97 only on average over a very large number of spins; one session can end far above or below.
How the games play
Recurring designs in the supplier’s game data (read 9 October 2026):
- Maxways. Spadegaming’s term for six-reel games whose ways to win change every spin: Legacy of Kong (up to 200,704 ways) and Farmland Frenzy Maxways (up to 1,016,064 ways).
- Megaways. In September 2021 the supplier announced a deal with Big Time Gaming to license Megaways and said games would follow. Its current game list names none.
- Cascades and building multipliers. In Brothers Kingdom and Legacy of Kong, winning symbols clear so one spin can pay more than once. Newer six-reel titles such as Brothers Kingdom 2 and Clash of the Giants add multipliers that build during free games.
- Fishing games. Fishing God, Fishing War and Alien Hunter are not slots: you aim at moving targets, and each shot costs credits. We found no evidence that skill overcomes the built-in cost; see our fishing-game guide.
Four details to check inside the game
- Exact title and version (sequels may differ).
- Stake basis: per line, per shot or total.
- How free games, multipliers and jackpots trigger, and their limits.
- Return information for the loaded version: unverified unless its source matches.
A demo shows the controls; it does not prove the real-money feed is authentic or set up the same. A few demo wins are not evidence of a high return.
Spadegaming’s Malta licence
The MGA’s direct company record (checked 7 October 2026) links the legal entity to the provider’s website: stronger evidence than a brand-name search or a copied footer badge. It is a business-to-business critical supply licence for Type 1 casino services. The “2018” in its number is not the founding date (2007, per the supplier).
Licence and testing: what we could check
Spadegaming’s About page says its games are certified by BMM Testlabs and iTech Labs. Its About page links two lab documents, both about its random number generator (RNG), the software that produces random results. Each covers less than the claim suggests.
| Document | What it establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| iTech Labs RNG certificate, 5 February 2018, on the lab’s own website | iTech Labs found the RNG met the relevant standards under Malta’s remote gaming regulations and evaluated its scaling for slot games | Any game’s RTP, current versions or a casino’s game feed. |
| BMM evaluation-report cover | A published cover names S.P.G. Malta Ltd and an eight-page RNG report dated 4 April 2023 | A complete certificate, a pass result, every game, or a current casino version’s RTP. |
The supplier also announced BMM certification for seven named titles in June 2025, including Legacy of Kong Maxways; we have not seen those certificates.
A Spadegaming logo shows which games a casino says it offers, not who holds your money. The supplier says it has no direct relationship with players on partner casino sites.
Judge the casino on its own licence, withdrawal rules, identity checks and bonus terms, not its lobby.
What this means
The Malta licence and the two RNG documents are real evidence about the supplier, but they do not make any casino licensed, safe or willing to pay you.
How to check a licence claim
These steps work for any supplier or casino (cara semak lesen):
- Find the exact claim: regulator and licence number, usually in the footer. “Internationally licensed” with no number is a warning sign.
- Open the regulator’s own register, never a link the site gives you. For Malta, the MGA’s licensee register; for Curaçao, the CGA licence register. A seal opening a page on the casino’s own domain proves nothing.
- Match the company, not the brand: search the “operated by” name; if none is named, treat the claim as unconfirmed.
- Match the website: the record should list the domain you use (Spadegaming’s lists www.spadegaming.com). A licence does not automatically cover every site using the company’s name.
Repeat this for the casino taking your deposits. A game-supply licence does not settle withdrawal terms, identity checks, bonus restrictions or whether playing from Malaysia is legal.
The operator still needs its own review
Our Malaysia casino comparison and our reviews of Dafabet, we88, Surewin, BK8, GOD55, Eclbet and Rizzy record each operator’s own evidence and limits. They do not confirm that an operator currently carries this supplier or game version.
See also our guides to bonus terminology, wagering requirements and e-wallets, and our warning directory of documented casino concerns.
Corrections to our Spadegaming guides
Earlier versions of our Spadegaming guides made these claims. Missing evidence is not proof of wrongdoing.
| Earlier claim | What we found |
|---|---|
| MGA licence “not listed” or “unconfirmed” | The direct MGA record matches company, licence number and domain; the old brand-name search was hedged, not a finding of no licence. |
| “CEO Danny Vincent” | Not supported. The supplier’s June 2025 news names him Chief Operating Officer; we found no source for “CEO”. |
| “First Asian supplier to hold an MGA licence” | Its own February 2019 announcement says “one of the first Asian based” providers; not independently verified. |
| “97.1%” as a supplier-wide RTP | A third-party aggregate; we verified no supplier-wide figure. |
| Old card RTP, volatility and maximum-win figures; “high volatility” for the whole catalogue | Removed. Supplier data lists Medium for most titles, including Heroes and Cai Shen 888 (old cards: Med-High, High), and no maximum win for Cai Shen 888 or Gold Panther. |
| Fishing God “RTP: Skill” | Misleading: a fishing game still has a mathematical return, and we found no evidence players can beat it. |
| Power of Thor Megaways as a Spadegaming game | It is a Pragmatic Play game. |
| “120+ games” as a firm count | No authoritative count found. Removed. |
| iTech Labs “no longer an independent second opinion” after GLI bought it | GLI’s 19 May 2023 announcement said iTech Labs would keep operating its labs independently. |
| Malaysian popularity, “demo mode uses the same maths”, full lab certification and safety assurances | Removed: no evidence, and a review site cannot vouch for a third party’s safety. |
Legal context: Malaysia and Singapore
An overseas supplier licence, game approval or familiar logo does not authorise online casino play in Malaysia (see our Malaysia gambling-law guide). Online gambling is not a legal grey area in Malaysia. The Common Gaming Houses Act 1953 s.6(1) and the Betting Act 1953 s.6(1) penalise players (a fine of up to RM5,000, up to six months’ jail, or both), and in October 2023 the Court of Appeal upheld convictions for online gambling on laptops. An offshore licence is not a Malaysian one.
In Singapore, Singapore Pools is the only operator Singapore’s Gambling Regulatory Authority licenses for online gambling, and gambling with an unlicensed online operator is an offence for a person in Singapore (Gambling Control Act 2022 s.20: a fine of up to S$10,000, up to six months’ jail, or both). Our Singapore gambling-law guide explains more.
If something goes wrong
If you suspect fraud, call your bank and the NSRC on 997 immediately, then lodge a police report anyway. Calling 997 does not replace it. Report older incidents too; recovery is not guaranteed. Keep the site address, receipts and account messages. See the NSRC guidance published by Hong Leong Bank.
Check a bank account number on the Royal Malaysia Police’s Semak Mule; a clean result does not prove the account is safe.
18+ only. Gambling carries real financial risk, and no RTP figure removes the house edge. For support, contact Befrienders KL on +603-7627 2929 (24 hours), or in Singapore the NCPG helpline on 1800-6-668-668 (daily 8am to 11pm, plus webchat) or Samaritans of Singapore on 1767 (24 hours). Gambling Therapy offers free online support. See our responsible gambling page.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. On 7 October 2026 the MGA record showed S.P.G Malta LTD as Licensed under MGA/B2B/482/2018, with www.spadegaming.com listed. It is a supplier licence, not one for the casinos offering its games.
Not automatically. Check the casino’s own legal entity, licensed domain, terms and complaint route.
Online slots and fishing games. Its website list on 9 October 2026 had 66 slots and three fishing games: Fishing God, Fishing War and Alien Hunter.
We verified no supplier-wide figure; the “97.1%” quoted elsewhere is a third-party aggregate. Check the help screen of the exact title and version you load.
No. Spadegaming’s own game data (9 October 2026) labels 66 of the 69 titles on its website Medium volatility, two High (Magical Lamp and Triple Panda) and one Low (Dancing Fever).
Its game list on 9 October 2026 named no Megaways title, despite a September 2021 licence deal with Big Time Gaming. It does list Maxways games, such as Legacy of Kong.
Only in part. A 2018 iTech Labs certificate and a 2023 BMM report cover concern its random number generator; neither is a complete per-game certificate or shows a casino version’s return setting.
We have no evidence of that and are not alleging it. The practical risks are operator ones: a cloned or proxied game feed, or a casino that refuses to pay out.
Some free-play sites carry demos. A demo shows controls and rules but does not authenticate an operator’s real-money feed or prove matching settings.
No.
